TRAGO

So here is what it's all about!

So what is a TRAGO water bottle.  A 20 ounce water bottle with a BLE smart lid. Connect the water bottle to the app, available for both Android and Apple devices. Enter some information about your body, like body weight, male or female and the level of activity you participate in to all help keep you hydrated.
Like with my food tracking apps, I have a difficult time often inputting my water I have consumed everyday.  This app keeps me on my daily goal. It reminds me of how much I have to drink and reminds me a few times during the day to keep drinking. The app splits the day into three segments, morning/afternoon/evening. On the bottom of the app it gives daily tips on how hydration keeps your body working.

So enough talk about the app, let me show you some of the screens the app shows and well as what the bottle looks like. The lid also works on some other bottles on the market. The lid is powered off a simple coin battery, it comes with. It can easily be changed when needed.

The different screens on the app show a running total of how much water you need to be consuming and what you are actually drinking. On the bottom of the screen it has a daily total and what you have been drinking.  You can set the app up in units of measurement in ounces or milliliters. You also have the option of manually updating your total of how much water you have consumed. The “fluid thoughts”, help you stay hydrated and give you tips and information on doing so. These can be turned off in the app’s settings if you want. The app tracks then your daily hydration and keeps a log to be later looked at for the whole week and month.

"Stay hydrated my friends!"

The See.Sense ICON bicycle tail light

This Bluetooth Smart bike light is very innovative and impressive. The numerous features, with more being added with firmware updates. This bike light with its theft and crash detection options is a must have for any cyclist. The dual CREE LED's are bright enough for being very visible for daytime use. The bike tail light comes in the option of 2x95 Lumen or 2x125 Lumen brightnesses. I love the option of the dimming the light on group rides, as you don’t want to blind the rider, if there is one behind you. If you are out riding by yourself, then turning it up the max brightness. The theft detection option will allow you to get about 100 feet away from your bike (light attached of course) and you being alerted as to when your bike has moved or motion has occurred to the light somehow.  When playing with the light in this option, my son and daughter had fun trying to see if they could walk away with the light in their hand from the coffee table after the alarm was set to go off. A car horn sound as well as alert message appear on the phone telling you to check on your bike. Typically on a group ride, others watch your bike for you while running in to use the bathroom or get more water at a convince store. This is great, because that means, I can take a bathroom break, if I am out riding by myself and know my bike being guarded by the ICON if the small lock I carry isn’t enough to slow down a would be thief. I am just super impressed with first of all the brightness and flash patterns the light provides.

Monitoring my sleep with the Zeo Mobile Sleep Manager

Just before the holidays began I won a contest online winning a Zeo Mobile Sleep Manager. You may ask what the heck is that. Well, it an app used by either a iPad, iTouch and Android device which receives signals from a head band worn while sleeping at night. It monitors the overall time you sleep as well as the different levels of sleep you are getting each night.

The information it gives you is very cool. After a nights sleep it gives you what they call a (ZQ) or IQ number as to the quality of sleep you are getting. The head band sends information via Bluetooth to your device where it is recorded.
I have only worn it for about 13 nights now and look forward to finding out more on how I sleep and what I can do to improve the quality of my sleeping.

It records too how many times you have woken up during the night too. I was joking with my wife and told her I need to wear it the night before a race, just to see how crappy my sleeping is, if any. I will keep you posted what I learn.

Check the device out for yourself at www.myzeo.com
