Leaky tire issue solved

So I have been running tubeless tires on my mountain bike for the past few years. It is nice just to inflate before a ride and get out on the trail. I make a few adjustments to the PSI depending on the trail type I’ll be riding.
A few weeks ago, I was losing pressure on my ride, about half way through. There was no obvious punctures in the tires and they held air fine to begin with.
After investigating a little deeper,  the valve was what was giving me problems. Sure enough I took the valve core out and the tubeless sealant inside was causing issues not letting it seal all the way. A quick and easy solution was to remove and replace the valve core.

BOOM, fix is done!  While I was at it, I added three fresh ounces of sealant and inflated the tire.
I was able to get out on the trails again this past weekend and the tires I replaced both valve stem cores are holding air just fine again.

You can see in the photo, the new valve core on the left and the older one on the right.

Weight training and other drills

Besides running, mountain biking and road cycling, I have also been working in my weight training and other drills.
A book a I bought earlier this year and have been trying to incorporate a lot of the leg workouts with weights. Maximum Overload for Cyclists. Although the title has cyclists in it, the workouts and thought and concept can be used in running also.
I am working too on strengthening my core. Which when it comes to running and cycling, a strong core is key.

Live Infinitely Exercise Ball

I am a fan of at home workout devices and using an exercise ball is one of them.  Not that I am a huge person, but I like knowing that the Live Infinitely exercise ball can support up to 2200 pounds. Invite over your best elephants of friends without worrying about this ball exploding. With that said the ball is very well manufactured out of a high grade PVC material. When ordering, due to my height I ordered the 75cm size. This ball can also be used as a sitting ball helping improve your posture as well as engage core muscles while sitting and balancing. Live Infinitely offers a workout guide on their web site after purchasing, but I already have a workout routine in place. Once inflated, with the included pump and air plug inserted, the ball holds the air very well, not having to re inflate before every use. The texture of the ball is great and the PVC material is okay to use with heels of tennis shoes dug into it when doing hamstring exercises. Socks also grip the material well too. The ball comes with great instructions on how to inflate and care for it as well as safety precautions. The ball is perfect for throwing down in front of the TV and doing exercises or stretches while watching.  When ordering keep in mind your height, as you will want to order one specific for your height.

I have even thought of bringing it to my office and use a a ball chair to improve my posture as well as work on engaging my core muscles more while sitting.
