Brush Hero makes cleaning your bike faster

I use a diluted solution of Simple Green, a degreaser, to clean my bike. Spray a little on, let it go to work and soak in, then follow it up using the Brush Hero.  Let the rotating brush go to work as the water rinses away the Simple Green and the dirt and grime. Forget breaking out the bucket for soap and water, the Brush Hero/Simple Green combination has sped up my bike cleaning process.

The perfect brush for the perfect job

Although many bottles are dishwasher safe, the dishwasher when it comes down to it, is a poor cleaner of water bottles. The jets inside just don’t reach up inside the bottle to fully clean them. Needing to remove that smell and sometimes a sports drink gunk left behind. Game over for the water bottle, if the kids have left it in the back seat of the car for a day or two with any type of drink inside.  Drinking out of a clean water bottle is sometimes hard to do, but not after using this brush and cleaner combo. A little bit of bleach and/or vinegar will help kill germs and bacteria. Hot water and the scrubbing with a brush to get in those hard to reach spots.  Pouring a diluted solution of one or two tablespoons of bleach or one or two tablespoons of vinegar in the bottle with hot water and letting it sit for about 20 minutes. Then scrub with the brush, rinse very well and let air dry. Clean the lid and nozzle very well, as bacteria can hide inside the lid too. The Relaj water bottles I use, both the top and bottom are removable, yet I still scrub down the walls of the inside of the bottle.  This angle tipped brush is the best I have found that will last a long time.

Shutout Solutions

You spend enough money on quality technical race wear and gear, don't let sweat and foul odors ruin them. How do you wash your technical wear to make them last longer and perform for you?
Shutout Solutions is the answer. With their patented SilverSync+ Technology that eliminates mold, bacteria and fungi without causing the user any reaction. They have incorporated this technology with 100% pure essential oils, which work hand and hand with the SilverSync+ Technology to deliver the best in deodorizing and sanitizing sprays. Silver has antimicrobial properties that have been known to cultures all around the world for many centuries.

Shutout Solutions' five products consisting of clothing Detergent, Footwear Spray, Body Spray, Athletic Spray and Hair & Body Wash remove the odors from your body and clothing. They have you covered removing the stink and smell from your body to your clothing and gear used racing and training. As with all their products, it's recommended you shake them before using as the all natural ingredients inside can sometimes settle.  Here is a glance at each one of their products.

Footwear Spray
Training for and running in a triathlon, putting on socks is a waste of time. So sweat inside a shoe will over time make it stink. Shutout's footwear spray eliminates odors by neutralizing them using SilverSync+ Technology with natural ingredients such as peppermint and tea tree to add a pleasant scent. In my triathlon bike shoes it is must to neutralizing odors. Running shoes are expensive, so bust out those older shoes you have stashed away due to them smelling and revive them.  Shutout's footwear spray helps maintain them by keeping them odor free. Periodically wash your shoes with Shutout Solutions' detergent to remove the sweat.

Hair and Body Wash
When traveling to the gym or pool and showering afterwards having hair and body wash in one bottle is convenient. The wash removes the chlorine smell from my hair and body leaving an invigorating minty scent. The wash gives a cool refreshing tingly feeling on my skin with its all natural ingredients. Other sports body washes on the market have a perfume smell but not Shutout's.

Detergent
If your like me, I tend to wear my technical clothes for a workout and set them aside, waiting for the pile to be big enough to wash them.  This detergent is very concentrated so a little goes a long way.  The detergent removes the dirt, sweat and odor-causing bacteria. The silver particles from the SilverSync+ Technology are then embedded in the fabric and will help protect the fabric from smelling.  After washing my gear, inside out, I let them air dry as using a drying will only decrease the life of garment. The lightly citrus scented Shutout detergent has removed the smell from technical wear in which other products have just masked the smell. The Shutout Solutions detergent is safe for use in (he) high efficiency and standard washing machines.  Follow the directions on the back of the bottle for the amount to use for each machine.  Use the setting on your washing machine to allow it to pause and soak for up to 15 minutes. This will allow the detergent to penetrate deep in the fabric. Before wearing a new garment, wash it with the Shutout Solutions detergent to infuse it with the SilverSync+ Technology.

Athletic Spray
The spray works great on backpacks or other gear you wear while working out that you don't want to wash right away.  I have used the spray inside my gym bag and misted the inside of my bike helmet and on its straps.  For other sports , it can be sprayed on football pads, helmets, gloves, etc. you get the idea. Anywhere you are wanting to remove the stench of body odor.

Total Body Spray
I use Shutout's Total Body Spray to remove the smell and odor after commuting to work or after a quick workout. The fresh and very invigorating scent of the tea tree and mint is great.  The Total Body Spray can be used all over your body, including your hair, skin, feet and hands to kill odor causing bacteria. It contains natural oils to help moisturize the skin.
So there you have it.  Great all natural stink removing answers from Shutout Solutions. They have you covered from head to toe in removing that odor that anyone and everyone that works out has. All natural ingredients leaving you smelling great so you can tackle the world and perform at your best.

Dude Wipes -- Feel Clean and Remove the Stink

You ever get off your bike after a commute or ride and need to freshen up?  Some of us don't have access to shower facilities after a commute around town or work.  Dude Products makes the perfect solution with their Dude Wipes.  Very convenient to carry around and stash in your backpack, computer bag or cycling jersey pocket.  The alcohol free wipes can be used on your hands, face, arm pits and ..... you get the picture.  They measure 44 square inches, so they are plenty big for anyone wanting to remove the stink from themselves.  Keep in mind, these are "Dude" wipes yet if needed, I guess the "Dudette" could use it.

The Orange Mud Transition and Seat Wrap

Don't be caught in the buff switching out of your bathing suit or sweaty clothes. Orange Mud has a solution before getting charged with indecent exposure, and an added bonus for keeping your car clean.  Sure, the towel can be used to dry off, but then attach it around your waist to change clothes. The Transition and Seat Wrap measures 30 inches by 60 inches and is 100% cotton.  A convenient belt clip assures the towel will stay wrapped around your body and fits athletes big or small (pretty much waist sizes 22 inches to 54 inches) allowing you to change out of your wet or dirty clothes.  No more towels tucked into your waist, only waiting for it to fall off while you change in front of others. The towel comes in 9 other colors besides Orange, so everyone in the family can get their own.  If you are sweaty from out running or wet from a lap swim session and forgot to bring a change of clothes (been there, done that) the towel transforms into a seat cover for your vehicle. Simply zip the zipper and drape over your cars headrest. The towel stays in place and keeps your cars interior clean. The Transition and Seat Wrap comes along to the pool inside my swim bag.

ProGold Lubricants and cleaning products

So lets face it, you spend enough money on good bike equipment (chains, gears, carbon frames) so why not use the best stuff out there to keep it working properly and looking great. Prolink Chain Lube is a thin lube reduces friction for smooth shifting and quiet chain operation. The lube does not build up or become sticky while shedding dirt and mud. The Prolink Chain Lube I find great on lubricating cables with their Luber Pens for precise applications. Find yourself out on dusty or muddy mountain bike trails or putting in a lot of miles, then you need to use Xtreme Chain Lube.  I use this on both my road and mountain bikes.  It bonds to metal surfaces and also does not build up or become sticky and also sheds water.  After getting your dirty from all the miles out on the road or on the trails ProGold's Bike Wash is great for cleaning your frame, spokes, and components. It is safe for carbon frames too.  Find yourself with your bike just a little more dirty in between uses with the Bike Wash. I use the Degreaser+Wash to work on getting that extra grime off  just a little easier.  When your all done fixing and lubing your ride, ProGold has Pro Towels, an 8"X12" dual textured disposable towel is your answer to clean up your hands and get out on the road faster. The lightly scented towels, come in canister with 90 of them inside. Keep your ride clean and lubed properly.
