Perfect timing for the DC Wonder Woman Run Series

This will be my first organized official run with one of my kids.  Running the DC Wonder Woman Run Series is stopping in Tempe, Arizona on March 24, 2019 with my daughter. We are signed up for the 5K distance. They are also offering the 10K for those wanting a longer race.

It’s perfect timing for this race to come through Arizona. In my daughter’s class at school, she selected Lynda Carter, you know the original Wonder Woman from the TV series, as her wax museum figure for a class project.

It will be a neat experience for my daughter, and on top of that, see a the sea of runners all wearing Wonder Woman gear.  Shirts, wristbands and capes, etc.

DC Wonder Woman Run Series

DC Wonder Woman Run Series is stopping in Tempe, Arizona on March 24, 2019.
I have signed up to run the 5K course with my nine-year-old daughter. I am excited, as this will be our first race/run doing together.

I am sure she will do fine and have a lot of fun. She is active and plays soccer, so the running or the distance should be not problem for her. She also is a member of her school's run club.
The course and weather should be perfect. There may be a little challenge as the area of Tempe the run is going through has some hills, but nothing too steep.
I am excited to be able to run the course with my daughter and will have a great time.

Break out your inner super hero. The @WonderWomanRun (3/24) is almost HERE. You can still save 10% w/ code "WWBIBRAVE"! #BibChat

Plus3Network releases andriod app

My training workout schedule is in place.  The weather lately has had it all outdoors on the road. Of course, like always, it is very strict on using the HR monitor.  My 30 mile ride on Saturday included a three mile hill climb.  I had some trouble with inflating my tires, as when I would unscrew the valve adapter I have, the inside of the valve would come with it, letting all the air out very fast. Took three tries before it finally stayed in place.  No problems out on the road, the weather was perfect.

I am happy to say I'm using Plus3Network to help log my workouts.  Plus3Network released an Android app allowing you to raise money for non-profits and charities listed on their website.  It's a great way to keep your workouts logged and well, you're already working out.
Workouts can by manually uploaded or based off GPS.

2013 is going

I started off the year with a 20.14 mile road ride, yes it was .01 over my projected 20.13, but I'm not complaining.  The New Year is off to a great start feeling healthy and injury free.  Not as much time for training as I had hoped for, but that will come along.  The first weekend into the year I was able to get out and ride with the tri group and log a 50 mile ride.  The weather was a little chilly even in the daylight sun.  I have put the slicks back on the mountain bike to get more indoor roller rides going.  2013 is going to be a great year both training and racing, I can tell.

Music in my ears

The training in the New Year has been perfect. I'm getting my workouts in and looking forward to a great racing season. Have yet to get a workout in the pool just yet, but I'm not worried.  I need to get some new music to listen to working out on the rollers and while running and when swimming starts , there too.   After I download my music selection, I shuffle the mix as to not get sick of the same routine, it works out great. In my next post I' ll give you a sample of the playlist I put together.  My music taste, whether driving in the car or working out, tends to be all over the place.
