MedZone+

MedZone’s PainZone is just what sore muscles after a tough workout are looking for.

The roll on applicator makes application a breeze and not messy. The active ingredient in the PainZone is a combination of three ingredients. Camphor, at 3 percent,  Menthol at 12 percent and Methyl Salicyate at 20 percent warming the area on the skin. The rub is not thick, keeping in mind it is dispensed through a roller ball applicator.  I have used this numerous times on the back of my neck as well as around my knees.

MedZone’s ChafeZone is great for areas on your body where friction will hurt the skin.  The no mess applicator stick makes it great for applying to the back of the neck (for rubbing wetsuit) or heel to prevent rubbing in my shoe. It is moisture resistant and is not affected by sweat or water. The main active ingredient is dimethicone.
2 1/4 inches wide is the applicator width.

MedZone’s BlisterZone is almost like ChafeZone yet I feel is geared more toward feet and hands. Anytime there is friction in your shoes/socks, gloves a blister is bound to form. Using BlisterZone will help alleviate the friction from happening in the first place.  The main active ingredient is dimethicone. 1 and 3/4 inches wide is the applicator width.

All of MedZone’s products have a very non-over powering scent except for the PainZone with it’s calming and relaxing camphor and menthol scents.

These products work and do a great job protecting your skin.

Udderly Smooth....the best way to fight dry skin

The summer heat and the constant getting in and out of the pool, dry skin is bound to happen.  The harsh chlorine in the public pool where I have been swimming this summer is pretty strong, as it should be to help keep the pool clean.  The chlorine is not so friendly with your skin.  The product line of Udderly Smooth's is where I turned adding hydration to my feet and all over my body.   From the lotion, body cream and the foot cream you are "totally covered", pun intended.  The greaseless Udderly Smooth products are great.  I am not sure how many out there follow my blog locally here in Arizona, but if you do, listen up.  I will bring a bunch of chamois cream samples to the Mesa Sprint that I am entered in next month. Swing by, introduce yourself and ask me for a sample, I would love to share.  I know too, nothing new on race day, so I am not saying you need to use it right then and there, but take it home and use during your training. It will be pretty easy to "spot" me, just look for the tall guy with the aero helmet with cow spots on it.  It's a sample, I mean, it's as simple as that.

Skin Strong lubricant

I was given samples of the Skin Strong SLIK and SLATHER to try out and here is what I thought of them.  First off, SLIK is clear lubricant used to avoid chafing.  It is applied by a misting spray making it quick and convenient. The bottle says with the spray it is easy to apply in even the hardest reach places, which I had a difficult time with. Of course the bottle is turned upside down and the tube inside does not transfer any product out the spout. I used it on areas I know I get rubbing and chafing while both cycling and running. It worked great and did its job. I would have loved to try, yet have not so far, using it on the neck of my wetsuit where I always have issues with it rubbing and near the bottoms of my legs to easy removal of the wetsuit. The none greasy spray was pleasantly scented and the small 1 ounce bottle was convenient to slip in a gym bag, backpack or jersey pocket. Next was the SLATHER a chamois cream.  The smell was again pleasantly scented. I mainly used it on the chamois of my riding shorts and it stayed in place and helped avoid and rubbing. They suggest also using it for soothing chafing if you forgot to apply before hand.  I am looking forward to trying it out for soothing areas bothered when no anti-friction spray or cream was applied.

Udderly Smooth Chamois Cream

While out riding the use of a chamois cream will keep you comfortable. I have been using Udderly Smooth foot cream for ever it seems like.
Now, I use Udderly Smooth Chamois Cream for use on the nether regions as a lubricant for long and short rides. Depending also the length of an indoor roller workout, I will apply it then too. The cream is used to prevent chafing and irritation sometimes created by sweat.
If your bicycle is set up correctly, and you've got a good saddle and sitting on the saddle properly ... you'll greatly reduce the chances of saddle sores.
Chamois cream was originally created for cycling shorts pads were made of real chamois. After washing over and over the chamois would dry out and become stiff over time similar to leather. The cream was used to recondition the chamois. There is talk out there that says the cream is totally unneeded with modern synthetic chamois.
Lube up directly on the skin with Udderly Smooth Chamois Cream and protect your under carriage. When putting in all those training miles your butt will thank you.
