Week wrap up

This last weekend I hit the trails for some great miles.  First, Saturday's ride an out of the ordinary downpour occurred while riding out at Usery Mountain Regional Park.  A lot of wildlife was running around including spotting white tailed deer.  Without the sun out and the cooler weather I could have ridden all day.  Got home and washed and lubed the ride up to return out there again Sunday.  This time the sun was out.  I tried a few more difficult trails this time.  Once again this ride turned into building up some miles along with confidence. Getting very comfortable in the saddle using my HoneyMaxx inside my Orange Mud Hydra Quiver to keep me hydrated.

Building confidence out on the trail

I've been pretty busy, so I need to catch up on my posts.  Summer is right around the corner, well technically it never really left Arizona this winter.  Allergies have had me feeling run down, but not anymore.  Summertime brings, head and earlier sunrises.
Had a great ride out in the desert early Easter Sunday morning.  A lot of desert creatures are also on the move with warmer temperatures.  I'm glad I did not see it, but did hear a rattlesnake out on the ride along with tons of prairie dogs and quail running around.  Building my strength and confidence.

A little more family time, while recovering

I was able to get out with my son mountain biking this past Sunday, second week in a row.  I was just going to go out for a few hours by myself when he asked if he could go again, so really how could I tell him no.  He told me he had fun the last time but he said it was too easy.  So I started thinking I would take him out on a little harder trail.  Loaded up the bikes and we were out the door.  Like before, I lead the way to our destination ( a playground ), with him leading the way back.  He did really well and is getting the hang of it.  There are a few tight corners where cacti come really close to the trail, so I just told him to slow down.  I didn't want to see him get stuck or fall into a cactus.  What a great ride.
I was glad for the slower ride, as my allergies have zapped my energy this week. So many things in bloom here along with the pollen and the wind only makes it worse.
Check out the video below and this will explain the fun out on the trails.

The Orange Mud Transition and Seat Wrap

Don't be caught in the buff switching out of your bathing suit or sweaty clothes. Orange Mud has a solution before getting charged with indecent exposure, and an added bonus for keeping your car clean.  Sure, the towel can be used to dry off, but then attach it around your waist to change clothes. The Transition and Seat Wrap measures 30 inches by 60 inches and is 100% cotton.  A convenient belt clip assures the towel will stay wrapped around your body and fits athletes big or small (pretty much waist sizes 22 inches to 54 inches) allowing you to change out of your wet or dirty clothes.  No more towels tucked into your waist, only waiting for it to fall off while you change in front of others. The towel comes in 9 other colors besides Orange, so everyone in the family can get their own.  If you are sweaty from out running or wet from a lap swim session and forgot to bring a change of clothes (been there, done that) the towel transforms into a seat cover for your vehicle. Simply zip the zipper and drape over your cars headrest. The towel stays in place and keeps your cars interior clean. The Transition and Seat Wrap comes along to the pool inside my swim bag.
