Cat-Ears are a device you place on the helmet straps of your cycling helmet. The devices hinders the sound of the air as you move. Buffering the sound of the air then allows you to hear the sound of cars, other cyclists, etc. The device is easy to place on your helmet straps, taking under a minute. A minor adjustment may be needed to make sure they are in front of your ear.

First off, I obey the rules of the trail. I yield to both hikers as well as horse riders, who I may come across while out riding on the trail. I don’t use a signaling device to tell others on the trail to get out of my way, but use the device to alert them that, I too am sharing the trail with them. 

The Timber Mountain Bike Bell is a very different and innovative bell.  This miniature cow bell is able to be turned off and on with the simple slide of a switch. No batteries required as the bell is powered by the motion of your bike and handlebars. The bell is used by turning it on well before you think you would need to alert someone ahead on the trail. Therefore they start to hear the bell off in the distance, slowly alerting them to your presence. This gives them time to react.  Other bells or signaling devices you typically use as you are close to the person. The bell is easily attached to the handlebars of either diameter size 22mm or 35mm as it comes with the needed quick release rubber O-rings.  With the different size bar attachments, and some bars thicker towards the stem and smaller towards the grips, you can determine the best place to mount the bell. The loud, not annoying bell, is a great bell and really the perfect bell for mountain biking, hands down. Easy to activate with the use of your thumb and can be attached to your handlebar on either the right or left side.

The Urge Bike Products SupaCross helmet is very comfortable. The helmet comes with a two sets of sizing pads, besides the ones already installed in the helmet. The air flows through the helmet is very well.  I have worn the helmet on my training rides both on the road and trails. When it comes to mounting lights on the top, the air vents are positioned just right. Of course on my helmets I always use and recommend the use of Cat-Ears, adding extra safety precautions. These wind noise reduction devices are very easy to install and weigh nothing at all.

This is a quick over-view and look at the Android-MAX professional lavalier microphone. This high quality lavalier microphone is simple and easy to use. Plug it into the 3.5 mm headphone port on your android device, select a voice recording app and your ready to go. Place the device on “airplane mode” so phone calls or messages won’t disturb your recording. Not only can this lapel mic be used with android phones but with the enclosed Smart Conversion Adapter Cable can also work with iOS devices. The uni directional mic is attached to a cord that is 3 feet 9 inches long. This sound of this entire video was recorded with the Android MAX plugged into my smart phone, creating a WAV file.  The sound was matched up with the video in post production.  So what does this mean. Even those on a budget and not having an expensive lavalier microphone set, plugged directly into a camera can benefit. Using a DSLR to record sound is difficult, but now with this you can use this microphone with any camera set up. The sound in this video was recorded using the Android MAX and the video was captured in HD on either my smartphone or simple point and shoot camera, that has the ability to shoot video.  Better yet, forget about the crappy sound you get from your GoPro, use this mic along wth your smartphone, then sync the video from the camera up with the sound file from your smartphone. 

By the way, the mic comes with two noise dampening wind screens as well as two mic clips.

The high end quality sound from this speaker is beyond impressive. First off the battery life is up to 10 hours connected through bluetooth or up to 12 hours using the provided jack from line in from your device.  It can connect with smart phones, tablets, mp3 and mp4, laptops and desktop computers as well as portable gaming units. The bass sound is outstanding. 

While connected to a smart phone it can be used for hands free calling and SIRI can be activated, using an iPhone, with a button on top of the speaker.  It uses bluetooth 3.0  On the back of the speaker near the on button, is a micro-USB charging port. I use the speaker add great quality sound to videos while showing them to clients while bluetooth connected to my laptop.  The speaker can be set up to 10 meters away and still receive the signal, no problem. While connected by bluetooth you can control your volume and tracks by using the buttons on top of the speaker.  For someone who picky about quality sound without spending a lot this is a must have.  

The top of the speaker has a LED light indicator on it which blinks blue as the bluetooth is connected. The indicator will also indicate with a red light a low battery status. 

The six buttons on the top of the speaker control the handsfree talk mode or SIRI, moving a track back, playing or pausing a track, next track and volume up and volume down. On the back of the speaker are the on/off switch, line-in audio jack and micro-USB charging port. The speaker charges with the micro-USB plugged into a USB 2.0  To fully charge the unit will take between three and four hours. 

Incased inside the unit is a right and left speaker with the microphone in the center, for the handsfree use.

To start off with Ear Covers are the only product that attach to both the down strap as well as the strap that runs to the back of the helmet.  They help keep your ears warm during cool or cold rides while blocking the wind noise but allow sound to travel through them. These are a must have in the winter months and very early morning rides before the sun rises.

Next up the Classic I are made of a faux fur material that is 1/2 inch thick, dampening and deflecting wind noise. They are designed to fit 1/2 inch helmet straps. They are 1 3/8 inch wide and 2 1/2 inches long.

 Next are the Classic II, also made of a faux fur material that is 1/2 inch thick, dampening and deflecting wind noise. They are designed to fit 1/2 inch helmet straps. They are 1 1/4 inch wide and 2 1/4 inches long. A major difference with these is the back side (the side facing the riders face) is fleece and not the faux fur material.  Some riders don't like the feel of the faux fur on their face, so for some this could be added comfort. 

Cat-Ears Classic II 

The Strap Wraps are for your casual rider that travels at a lower speed. They attach to your helmet strap with Velcro just like any of the other Cat-Ears products.  These have a scalloped edge on the outside facing the ear, diverting the wind away from your ear.  Very comfortable and they wick sweat.

The Classic Pro is once again made with the faux fur that is 1/2 inch thick, dampening and deflecting wind noise. They are designed to fit 1/2 inch helmet straps. They are 1 1/8 inch wide and 2 inches long. They are right and left specific, and are packaged in such a way to let you know before attaching them to your helmet straps. When attached the front edge seems to point upward. 

Cat-Ears Classics Pro

Once again "The Classics"  I, II, Pro are designed to fit 1/2 inch helmet straps.  The difference with all of them is their size. They all provide the maximum wind noise reduction by reducing wind noise approximately 40 to 60 percent.
