Blog update April 1, 2015 (no joking)

This morning marked my 121 consecutive day of running at least "a mile or more".  I have been able to get some great mountain bike rides in over the past week for training.  I am staying really focused on my heart rate as well as finding good lines.  I am also working on my body position, staying seated, or getting up out of the saddle to help maneuver my bike around the trail.  There are two washes out on the trail that I am working hard to master.  I have been successful a few times, but I am really mentally and physically wanting to nail them, both, numerous times in a row.  I guess part of my struggle with them is the following through with my momentum and being able to carry it up the other side.  The lines I am choosing could improve also.
I have begun some sandbag and kettle bell workouts at home looking to improve my strength.
I am excited to also to be chosen to represent Eternal Water , a naturally alkaline spring water, again this 2015 year as a brand ambassador.

Up to day 93!

Just finished off my day 93 tonight of running daily, at least a mile in distance. Crazy!  I have to admit there have been a few days or evenings and nights when I was feeling a little run down or tired and want to skip the run. Then I started to think of keeping the streak going.  Last week, after a mountain bike ride or weight workout my legs felt a little heavy.  I try at least once a week to set a person record time. Others, I just listen to what my Suunto Ambit2S tells me about my heart rate and relax.

January has been great, February your up next

I have been able to continue my "at least a mile a day" and have started my indoor roller workouts.  Light weight workouts will also be added in Feb. My Suunto Ambit 2S is what I am using to capture my data including my heart rate,  while off and on using the MIO Alpha wrist watch with ANT+ instead of the chest strap.

2014 Ends as 2015 Begins!

So I was able to finish the #RWRUNSTREAK, running at least a mile a day in the month of December, 2014. 2015 has begun and it's going to be a great year.
The running took place a month after my MCL surgery early in Nov.  The rehab I put in really helped speed up my recovery.  A little stiffness here and there but nothing like it was a year ago.  The next tests on it will be more distance.
On Sunday Dec. 29, I was able to get out on the mountain bike trail. I hit up a new trail in San Tan Park I had never tried. I look to return there a bunch as I need to get some miles in on the dirt trail to prepare for this years 12 Hours at Night in June.
