Mio Quest

**********2015 UPDATE to this POST************

This device is not longer in production

I can tell you this, if you want to take your outdoor workouts to the next level, the Mio Quest is the way to do it. I have been using the GPS enabled watch for the past three weeks. It takes a little getting used to, but after looking over the instructions you will on your way, and out the door in no time. The Quest has Waypoints, which are locations you can save. After saving the location you can then rename it for easy access for locations you wish to return to later. The watch uses chest strap to gather your heart rate too.

Hi there.

Nice review. Have you had another gps watch before? Have you found diferences?

When you start to download info to the computer, the watch also starts to chargr?

How often do you have to charge it?

Regards and thanks.

Veronica,
Thank you. I was using a Garmin 205, which does not monitor heart rate.
The Quest is small and has a great option to use the watch indoors by simply turning off the GPS. Also turning it off when not using it saves on the battery.
After data has been downloaded to your computer, you will see on the screen that is it charging. I have fully charged the battery when I first got it and have not needed to charge it just yet. There is symbol on the face that shows the charge in the battery. The manual suggests it gets charged every month whether it needs it or not. Let me know if you have any more questions, I would like to help you. Happy training!

Hi Tim,

The watch looks interesting and I am looking for something like this that i can afford because it is cheaper than other watches out there.

But I have read some reviews that the software to track your training sucks and it does not link to MapMyRun.

I would like to have in depth review on this watch and your clarification on the software from MIO. Since you are the ambassador, your reviews will be helpful.

Your video review is good but need more improvement.

Thanks and Regards

Nabil,
The information the Mio Quest collects is able to synch to MapMyRun. Very simple.
Here is a link from the Miowatch YouTube Channel explaining the process.

I am in the process of producing another video on the Quest. Stay tuned.
